RMD Profiles is thrilled to showcase the completion of a monumental addition to London’s EC4 district, the 6-10 St Andrew Street expansion, finalised on the 24th of February. This project embodies a significant leap forward, reflecting our enduring commitment to innovation, community, and sustainability.
A New Era for an Established Building
The 6-10 St Andrew Street expansion was more than just a construction venture; it was a transformative initiative to elevate an existing building by adding floors 9 and 10, thereby substantially increasing the client’s floor space in the overall structure. This endeavour required a delicate balance of maintaining the integrity of the original building while integrating new levels seamlessly into the existing framework.
Beyond Ordinary: Commercial Office Space Redefined
Strategically situated within a stone’s throw of Chancery Lane and Farringdon stations and just 450 meters from the new Farringdon Elizabeth Line, the building offers an unrivaled location combined with world-class facilities. By offering approximately 48,000 sq ft across its lower ground and eight upper floors, including two private terraces, a communal roof terrace, and a winter garden, the St Andrew Street expansion is set to redefine fully managed office space. Our approach ensures that the site resonates with GPE’s net-zero carbon commitment, providing an exemplary model for future developments.

One of the key challenges of extending upwards was the intricacies involved with the off-load and landing processes. Thanks to the exceptional collaboration with our contractors and the use of comprehensive layout drawings, we ensured that each structural element was meticulously planned and placed. Our collective expertise in handling out-of-the-ordinary projects and our commitment to frequent team and on-site meetings allowed us to navigate this complex project with precision, empathy, and coordination among various trades.
